Shell charcoal, lump, as feedstock

The charcoal a processor feeds into its own activation line. Kora makes the charcoal and does not make or sell activated carbon. Three limits are published; the properties activation depends on are not.

Questions buyers ask

What fixed carbon, moisture and ash limits does Kora publish for lump shell charcoal?

Kora publishes fixed carbon of at least 70 per cent, moisture up to 10 per cent and ash up to 5 per cent. These come from the main Kora site and are not independent results. The COA of each lot states the values for that lot.

Which lump charcoal properties have no published data, and how do I get them?

Volatile matter, lump size and spread, and hardness have no published data. Ask sales through the inquiry form or WhatsApp for a sample and a laboratory report on them, and ask whether each figure is stated as received or dry.

How is Kora lump charcoal packed, and which documents come with a shipment?

It is packed in jumbo bags, about 13 MT per 20-foot container. Each shipment comes with a COA, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, packing list and bill of lading. Minimum order, loading port and lead time are agreed at quotation.
